Brief:

Family Promise of Roane County is a local affiliate of Family Promise – National Network. Since 1986 Family Promise has worked to end homelessness in communities across the country. With over 200 affiliates, Family Promise provides temporary housing through community partnerships while working to help clients secure employment and permanent housing. We don’t do much pro bono work, however we strongly believe in this organization’s mission, and so lent our skills to help spread their message and to provide an easy interface for information and to receive donations.

Process

After attending several meeting with the board of the local affiliate, we got started on the project. Since all of the copy and most of the images were quickly provided to us, and we were able to use the national organization as inspiration, the website was completed in pretty short order. In addition to basic information about the charity, a calendar, a newsfeed, contact form, and that all important donate button.

Results

The board of Family Promise of Roane County were very happy with both the process and completed project And, they are receiving positive feedback on the site in the form of folks pressing that donate button.
