Brief:

The Florida Vintage Raceboat Club is a recently formed 501(c)3 organization affiliated with the APBA. As the name implies, the club specializes in vintage raceboats and has regatta events at least twice per year.

Process

We sat down with the principle organizers for the club in order to understand the needs of the club and why they needed more than just an informational static website.

Officers at the club were looking for a way to streamline and simplify the membership, event registration, and participant purchases of safety equipment.

They also wanted to have a place to showplace the photos and video of the vintage boats and events. They did however want to have as simple a website as possible. They weren’t really concerned about site ranking or building a audience beyond their membership.

The club provided us with images and copy for the pages, we provided the technical expertise in order to give the club the functionality they needed to reduce the work of administration of the club.

Results

The Florida Vintage Raceboat Club was very pleased with the website that was produced which met the needs laid out in the website proposal and plan. We provided them with an application for tracking memberships with online billing and reminders for renewal. We also built a custom form that will be used for event registration with a shopping cart for collecting the various regatta fees. A shop with payment gateway was installed for the purchase of the required safety equipment. And finally, we setup a system for automated emails of the club’s newsletter. FVRC will save many hours of labor now that much of the club functions previously done by hand are now automated and documentation can be handled by simple reporting.
